Latino or not, anyone is invited to come celebrate the Greater Patchogue Chamber’s Latino Leadership Connect’s sixth annual Hispanic Heritage event at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts on Saturday, Sept. 21.

“We are deeply committed to celebrating the community’s rich Latino culture,” said Emily Alvarado, chairwoman of the LLC. “This show is a chance for everyone in our community to experience the beauty, artistry, and invaluable contributions of Latino heritage.”

The event, perfect for families and friends, promises a variety of performances that highlight the diversity of Latino cultures. Attendees can expect performances by Sol y Sombra, Triple M, Bachatu, and Thriving Latinas.

“Patchogue has a thriving Latino community, and this show serves as a symbol of our growth, resilience, and unity,” said Lissetty Thomas of the Patchogue-Medford Library. “We hope all will feel welcome to join us. This event fosters a deeper appreciation and connection between all cultures.”

Tickets are $10 for general seating and $35 for VIP Balcony seating, which includes discounted drinks at the theatre bar, a complimentary food buffet (food from Latino restaurants in Patchogue, including El Matador, Tiestos, Ruta, Gallo, Dirty Taco, and the Cuban) as well as a swag bag that includes gifts from the sponsors and restaurants.

All funds raised from the tickets sales this year will be donated to SEPA Mujer in support of their continuous efforts in providing safe resources and services for the advancement women in the Hispanic community who have been affected by domestic violence, human trafficking, and gender inequality.

“We’re deeply committed to celebrating the community’s rich and vibrant Latino culture. This show is a chance for everyone from all backgrounds to experience the artistry, and the invaluable contributions of Latino heritage with a purpose of giving back to the community,” added Alvarado.

Tickets for the Hispanic Heritage Celebration show are available now at the Patchogue Theatre by visiting https://www.patchoguetheatre.org/events/2024-09-21-6th-annual-hispanic-heritage-celebration.
